ABOUT US

We are two Nurse Practitioners who are passionate about women's health and providing quality clinical education. We have more than 40 years of experience providing sexual and reproductive health care and education, delivering study days, conferences and teaching medical and nursing staff in the clinical setting.

NZ born Cook Islander (Ngati Kao, Ngati Tane, Ngati Irish/Scottish/ Chinese).

Georgina has worked in women's health for more than 20 years across primary and secondary care.  She is passionate about improving access to care for women and delivering high quality services.  Georgina completed her Doctoral research in Pacific women's experiences of navigating colposcopy services. ​She is the clinical lead of the colposcopy service at Waitemata DHB. Georgina is actively involved clinical audit and practice improvement. She is currently a member of the ASCCP committee/faculty and the NCSP primary HPV screening guidelines group.

After spending many years as an Emergency Nurse in London, Northern Ireland and Auckland, Julie moved into the field of Sexual, Reproductive and Women’s Health. She has worked in both the primary and secondary care sector, pursuing her passion for providing high quality, equitable, patient focused care. Julie currently works across women’s health services at Waitemata DHB and is the lead colposcopy nurse. She is involved in quality improvement projects for early pregnancy complications and regularly undertakes clinical audits. Julie’s roles have always involved educating health professionals and she continues to regularly teach on women’s health issues.
